Welcome to Billfold: Your Cashless Payment Bracelet for Easy Event Management!

Are you a small business owner who sells merchandise at events? Or perhaps you’re thinking about starting your own event planning business? Well, I’ve got something that might catch your interest – Billfold’s wireless point-of-sale (POS) system.

Introducing Billfold POS

This fancy technology allows your customers to purchase food, drinks, and other merchandise using a wristband that’s connected to their credit cards. How cool is that? And it’s not just convenient for your customers – the system uses customer-facing touch screens and dual screens to make ordering and completing transactions a breeze for you too. In fact, according to the company’s stats, businesses that use Billfold POS have seen a boost in revenue ranging from 20% to a whopping 67% per event!

I had a chat with Stas Chijik from Billfold to get the scoop on how this innovation can help small businesses like yours.

Stas, who’s a pro at organizing big events, shared a common issue he encountered with regular POS systems – those fancy gizmos that process credit card payments.

I saw RFID (radio frequency identification) technology as a way to make things faster for my team.

A Solution with Technology

This technology lets you make payments with a wristband, so you don’t waste time searching for your purse or wallet, I said.

Small businesses are already familiar with these systems. They use them to keep track of products in their supply chains. The radio frequency tags in these systems can be used for inventory and other purposes.

For example, they can be used for payment processing.

However, using RFID technology for bracelets had some drawbacks. Many of them needed to be constantly refilled. So, I put together a team to improve RFID wristbands. Our goal was to create a model specifically for event venues.

When we designed the prototype of the Billfold POS and started using it, we saw a significant increase in how much each person spent.

We quickly realized that we had created a solution not only for ourselves but also for many other event organizers, I said.

Small businesses that work in event organizing or have kiosks/stores in events should pay attention. The latest version of Billfold takes care of both merchandise and beverages. This means you can easily sell goods and services at an event.

How Billfold POS Works

Here’s how it works: You get a wristband as a patron and go to an activation kiosk. There, you’ll link your credit card directly to the wristband. It’s a simple and easy process.

It only takes about thirty seconds to a minute, says Chijik. You can also add cash using the same kiosks. You’ll receive a four-digit PIN to use as well.

Once that’s done, you’re free to enter the event and start spending.

Additional Benefits

Event planners and small businesses selling their products inside events have other advantages too. One of them is the valuable analytics that provide sales and important metrics. It becomes a powerful marketing advantage.

We offer a thorough understanding of customers and their journey throughout the event, Chijik explains.

He shares an example where a festival utilized the data to offer merchandise to people who didn’t purchase it during the event.

There’s another significant advantage if you’re selling food or items like t-shirts and souvenirs at events that use Billfold.

Wow, things are really changing with this new money system! In the old way, the money always went to the event organizer first. But now, with this cool system, kiosks and vendors who work at events can have more stability with their money. They can control it better and feel more secure.

Imagine how much easier it would be for small businesses at events. No more stress about dealing with the event organizer. With Billfold, they can be their own merchants and get the money right into their own pockets. How awesome is that?
