Star – A Handy Way to Find Favorite Messages

I bet you’ve had a moment when you needed to search for a specific message in WhatsApp. Well, lucky for you, WhatsApp has a feature that lets you do just that. But here’s a little secret: there’s an even better way to quickly find your most important messages – by marking them as favorites.

So how do you do it? It’s a piece of cake, my friend. Just press and hold on the message you want to mark, then tap on the little star icon up top. Voila! That message is now your favorite.

But wait, there’s more! If you want to see all your favorite messages in one go, all you have to do is click on “Options” when you’re in the conversation list screen, and then choose “Starred Messages.” Easy peasy, right?

Customize Your Privacy Settings

Do you want to control who sees your activity on WhatsApp? The Last Seen feature reveals when you were last using the app. But don’t worry, you have the power to change this. Let me show you how.

First, go to Options > Settings, then select Account > Privacy. Here, you can decide who can view your last seen status, profile picture, and status updates. You have three options:

  • Everyone: This means that anyone using WhatsApp can see your last seen, profile picture, and status.
  • My Contacts: Only your contacts, the people in your phone book, can see this information.
  • Nobody: No one, not even your contacts, will be able to see your last seen, profile picture, or status.

Now that you know how to control your privacy settings, you can choose the option that works best for you. Take charge of your privacy and enjoy using WhatsApp!

If you want to hide the fact that you’ve read someone’s message, you can simply go to “Options > Settings > Account > Privacy” and uncheck the “Read receipts” option.

WhatsApp also has a feature called BCC or Broadcast Messages that allows you to send messages to a group of people without revealing their contact information. Instead of adding everyone to a group, where their contact numbers are exposed, the broadcast option keeps their identity private.

To create a broadcast list, go to the conversation list screen, click the Options button, and select “New broadcast”. Choose the recipients for the new broadcast and click “Done”. Now you can send messages to this broadcast list, just like you would with any contact or group.

With Direct Reply, you can respond to the message right from the notification bar. No more interruptions!

Want to try it out? It’s easy! Just go to the app’s settings, then tap on Notifications. Look for the Popup Notification option and choose the one that suits you best. That way, you’ll always know when a message comes in and be able to reply to it right away.

How to Hide Chats from Your Conversation List

If you don’t want to completely delete a chat thread (also known as a conversation), but you want to keep it private, there’s an option to hide it. To do this, simply tap and hold on the chat you want to hide, and then click on the archive button that appears in the action bar. This will archive the conversation and keep it out of sight.

You can easily find all your archived chats by scrolling to the bottom of your conversation list screen and clicking on “Archived chats”. This will show you all the conversations that you have hidden away.

Mute Chats and Block Contacts

When there are a lot of active conversations happening in a group chat, it can be really annoying. Every time a new message comes in, you get a notification, and this can start to pile up after a while.

To help you with these frustrating situations, there are options to mute notifications and block contacts.

If you want to mute a conversation, just open the chat with an individual or a group, then tap the Options button and go to Group info > Mute. From there, you can choose how long you want to mute the chat, and on Android, you can even turn off notifications completely for the muted group.

If there’s a specific contact that you want to block (not a whole group), you can do that too. Just open the chat with that person, click Options > More > Block, and you won’t receive any more messages from them.

Keep WhatsApp Media Out of Your Gallery

Seems like I’ve been bombarded with tons of images and videos in my gallery from all the messages people keep forwarding. If you’re in the same boat and want to prevent WhatsApp media from cluttering your gallery, here’s a simple trick you can use.

First, open up the trusty File Manager and navigate to Internal storage–> WhatsApp > Media. Next, rename the folders labeled “WhatsApp Images” and “WhatsApp Video” to “.WhatsApp Images” and “.WhatsApp Video” respectively. Make sure to include the dot at the beginning of the new folder names.

Keep in mind: This trick only works for Android devices, not iOS. And remember, hiding the images and videos in your phone’s gallery won’t delete them. You’ll still be able to find them in WhatsApp and using a file manager.

Managing Two WhatsApp Accounts on Your Android Device

If you’re like me and you have a dual-sim Android phone, chances are you want to use two WhatsApp accounts – one for work and another for personal use. Well, luckily for you, there are several apps that can help you manage multiple social accounts on the same device, including running two WhatsApp accounts.

But here’s the thing: Android Lollipop already allows multiple users on the same device, which means you can have multiple WhatsApp accounts without needing a third-party app. However, there is a small catch. You won’t receive notifications from both accounts at the same time. It’s a trade-off, but it might be worth it if you value the convenience of having two separate WhatsApp accounts on one device.

To get started, head over to your Android’s Settings and navigate to Users. From there, you can easily add a new user. Once you’ve created a fresh account, simply log in using that account and proceed to install WhatsApp. This way, you can use WhatsApp with your second phone number.

Get Back Your Deleted Chats or Messages

Hey there! Did you know that WhatsApp takes care of your chats by making backups every day at 2 AM? How cool is that? So, if you happened to delete something by mistake that was from the day before, or anything before 2 AM on the current day, there’s a way to recover them easily. Let me show you how!

Here’s what you need to do to recover your precious deleted WhatsApp messages. First, you’ll need to uninstall WhatsApp from your phone. Don’t worry, it’s just temporary. Then, go ahead and reinstall it. Once you’ve done that, simply sign up with the same phone number you used before. Guess what? WhatsApp will work its magic and detect that you have a backup available. It’s like finding a hidden treasure! All you have to do now is tap on “Restore” to kick-start the restoration process. Voila! In no time, you’ll find all your messages back – even the ones you thought were gone forever. Isn’t that amazing?

Just so you know: Be aware that if you follow these steps, you’ll recover any messages that were deleted before 2 AM. However, you won’t be able to retrieve any messages that were deleted after 2 AM on the same day.

So, here’s how you do it. First, look for the attachment button in the action bar. It’s this little icon that looks like a paperclip. Once you find it, go ahead and give it a click. After that, you’ll see a bunch of options appear, like photos, videos, and more. But what we really want is the one that says “Document.” So go ahead and tap on that.

Now, here’s the thing. While WhatsApp does support lots of file formats, there are some that it doesn’t. For example, you can’t send files like executables or archives. But don’t worry, I’ve got a little trick up my sleeve that will solve this problem for you.

Here’s what you can do. If you want to send a file that WhatsApp doesn’t support, you can use services like Dropbox and CloudSend. These services will help you share files of any format, no matter how fancy or unique.

So there you have it! Now you know all about sharing files on WhatsApp. Have fun sending all those important documents and files to your friends and family. Happy sharing!

After you’ve gone ahead and installed these apps from the Google Play Store, it’s time to get started with CloudSend. You’ll need to open the app and give it permission to access your Dropbox account. Next, head over to your File Manager and pick out the file you want to work with. When you’re ready, tap on the Share option and choose CloudSend from the list. This will upload your file to Dropbox and give you the option to send it or make a copy. Go ahead and select Send. Finally, tap on WhatsApp to share the file with your friends.
