Have you ever wondered about the impending doomsday? What might unfold when that time comes? Let’s dive into some intriguing scenarios.

1. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

If you think the peace we enjoy today is certain, think again. Modern Warfare paints a different picture of our possible future. With the fall of the Soviet Union, a man named Zakhaev emerges as a powerful figure. Utilizing his wealth, Zakhaev forms the Ultranationalist Party, recruiting rebel soldiers from the Soviet Army. His ultimate goal? To reunite the Soviet Union, and he will stop at nothing to achieve it.

Imagine this: You’re flipping through channels on your TV, looking for something interesting to watch. Suddenly, you stumble upon a shocking scene. Right before your eyes, the president of a Middle Eastern country is executed. And it’s not a movie or a fictional drama; it’s happening live. You can’t believe what you’re seeing.

The person behind this horrifying act is a separatist leader named Khaled Al-Asad. He has taken matters into his own hands, and his actions have set off a chain reaction. Now, the US, the Middle East, and Russia find themselves caught in a war that seems to have no end in sight.

In this battleground, all kinds of advanced weapons have been unleashed. These weapons are designed with one purpose in mind: to eliminate the enemy. They are more deadly and efficient than ever before, and the consequences are devastating.

As I watch the events unfold, I can’t help but feel a mix of disbelief, anger, and fear. How did we get to this point? How can we stop this cycle of violence? These questions haunt me as I witness the destructive power of these modern weapons.

It’s a sobering reminder of the fragility of peace and the destructive nature of war. The world has forever been changed, and I can’t help but wonder what the future holds.

Before Zakhaev could unleash nuclear warheads to annihilate the lives of 41 million people, he was eliminated. However, the tale doesn’t end there. One of Zakhaev’s right-hand men, a guy called Makarov, had a different plan. He sought revenge by engaging in terrorism for a whopping five years, leading up to the spark that set ablaze World War 3.

10 Video Game Tales of Imminent Doom

Between the wars in the series, we’ve seen all sorts of weapons being used – from the skies to the seas, from devastating nuclear threats to cutting-edge biotechnology. These weapons were employed in the name of justice, but also in the pursuit of terrorism. And amidst all the chaos, there were moments that made you stop and think – poignant scenes where innocent lives were lost, mere casualties of a never-ending war.

2. Command and Conquer: Red Alert Series

Now let’s dive into a different world altogether – the Red Alert series. In this parallel reality, World War 2 never ended; it’s still raging on. But here’s the peculiar thing – humans in this world seem to embrace the war with open arms! It all began when Albert Einstein, yes, the famous scientist, decided to tinker with time travel. His experiment sent him hurtling back into the past, where he unexpectedly found himself face-to-face with a notorious figure – Adolf Hitler.

Unbeknownst to us, this encounter altered history in a significant way. Einstein’s conversation with Hitler somehow prevented the rise of the dictator, which consequently allowed the Soviet Union to flourish without the constant threat from Germany.

10 Video Game Tales of Imminent Doom

As I sat down to write this, I found myself pondering a fascinating historical event – the Soviet Union’s ambitious quest to conquer Europe and the United States. Can you imagine the audacity? With immense armies at their disposal, they launched a series of relentless assaults, employing formidable weapons like the Kirov Airship and Apocalypse Tank.

But you know what? The United States wasn’t about to sit back and watch it all unfold. No, sir! They had some tricks up their sleeve, too. They used their own teleportation technology and a weather control machine to defend their homeland. Talk about ingenuity!

So there they were, the US and the Soviet Union, locked in a fierce battle for control. The fate of the European mainland hung in the balance. It was an epic showdown, my friend, and I can’t help but marvel at the determination and resourcefulness displayed by both sides.

10 Video Game Tales of Imminent Doom

So, get this: back in the day, the USSR had this big-shot leader named President Romanov. Well, old Romanov had this bright idea to bring in some psychic dude named Yuri. Now, this Yuri guy had this crazy ability to control people’s minds. Sounds unreal, right? But it gets even crazier. Yuri went and destroyed all those top-secret nuclear weapon sites in the good ol’ US of A. Talk about a supervillain move! But here’s the kicker: he got too dang powerful. Ended up going all rogue on the USSR and tried to take over the whole stinking world. Can you believe it?

10 Video Game Tales of Imminent Doom

So here we are, Red Alert, a world split into two groups – the Allies and the Soviets – locked in an endless battle, each racing to outdo the other in the pursuit of global domination.

But no matter which side emerges victorious, things never really improve. In later years, a new force emerges: the Empire of the Rising Sun, or Japan as you can call it. They rise up with their Gundam-inspired mecha, threatening to conquer the world. The war in this world will never cease.

3. Fallout 3

Ever wondered what would happen if we ran out of oil? Well, let me tell you – we’d go to war. That’s exactly what happens in Fallout 3. It’s set in the year 2277, long after the resource war, when nuclear warfare has ravaged the Earth and left it barren and desolate.

10 Video Game Tales of Imminent Doom

I was born inside Vault 101, a shelter built underground to keep us safe from the terrible consequences of the nuclear war. It was meant to be our haven, shielding us from the harsh realities of the outside world.

Life within the Vault was peaceful, an existence where everything was controlled and predictable. But then, by chance or fate, I found myself wandering out into the wasteland, discovering the heartbreaking truth about the world that my ancestors had bequeathed to us.

10 Video Game Tales of Imminent Doom

When my dad, James, gets out of the Vault, I have to go look for him out in the wasteland. Along the way, I have to fight all these weird creatures that got messed up by the radiation. They’ll attack anything that moves.

10 Video Game Tales of Imminent Doom

Let me tell you about this cool game I found called “Fallout 4”. It’s set in a post-apocalyptic future that has a really interesting twist – it’s like the 1950s all over again! Can you believe it? It’s like taking a trip back in time to a retro-future. They call it “America’s first choice in post nuclear simulation”. How cool is that?

4. Crysis

Hey, you know how everyone is always searching for aliens on Mars and other planets? Well, we totally forget that there are aliens right here on Earth. And guess what? They’re not very friendly. This game I found called “Crysis” is all about that. It’s a real adrenaline rush!

10 Video Game Tales of Imminent Doom

Once upon a time in the year 2020, an extraordinary event unfolded that would alter the course of history forever. It all began when a brave group of American archaeologists stumbled upon an incredible discovery. Little did they know that this find would set off a remarkable chain of events that would become the stuff of legends.

The archaeologists quickly realized the magnitude of their find and the potential implications it held for the world. Recognizing the need to protect this vital information, a team of soldiers equipped with state-of-the-art Nanosuits was dispatched to ensure the safety of the archaeologists and secure the valuable data.

As the troops prepared to set foot on the mysterious island, the atmosphere crackled with anticipation. However, the joyous atmosphere was abruptly shattered when an enigmatic and otherworldly force known as the Ceph launched a surprise attack on the team.

The sudden onslaught of this unknown alien entity caught the soldiers off guard, forcing them to fight for their lives against a formidable enemy they could barely comprehend. The sheer audacity and power of the Ceph left everyone bewildered and questioning their very existence.

In that single moment, the world changed forever. Science fiction became an undeniable reality, and the struggle for survival against an unknown and incomprehensible antagonistic force commence.

But, dear reader, this is only the beginning of an epic tale filled with danger, wonder, and the constant quest for answers. Join me as I embark on this extraordinary journey, where I will uncover the secrets of the Ceph and attempt to unravel the mysteries that lie at the heart of this strange and captivating world. Let us forge ahead together into the unknown, where every step is a leap of faith and every revelation holds the promise of a new understanding.

10 Video Game Tales of Imminent Doom

It’s hard to believe, but the Ceph have been sleeping for a whopping 2 million years. Can you imagine? These aliens have been laying low, minding their own business, until the Korean People’s Army had to go and activate one of their bases. And boy, did they cause a lot of trouble. You see, these Ceph creatures are way ahead of us humans when it comes to technology. So when they woke up, they unleashed their powerful weapons and wreaked havoc on many places. It was destruction like we’ve never seen before.

10 Video Game Tales of Imminent Doom

Lucky for us humans, we’re not as defenseless as sitting ducks in this dimension. We managed to steal advanced alien technology and create the Nanosuit, which gives us superhuman abilities to fight against our not-so-friendly extraterrestrial neighbors.

That’s a good thing because these aliens are hell-bent on wiping out humanity with their massive army and the deadly Manhattan Virus. Who will come out on top and avoid extinction? It’s anyone’s guess.

5. Armored Core 4

Just like in Fallout 3, Armored Core takes place in a world where vital resources like food and energy are running out fast due to the rapidly growing human population. It’s a war for survival, but this time, it’s fought with giant mechas.

10 Video Game Tales of Imminent Doom

Scared folks living in dangerous places took a gamble on six big companies to keep them safe. They also had to follow the companies’ rules and laws.

To get food, the citizens had to fight wars against the old nations. They used super high-tech fighting machines called Armored Core to take down each nation, one by one.

10 Video Game Tales of Imminent Doom

But the war just made things even worse for Earth. Because of all the dangerous waste from the LYNX War, the rest of the corporations in the new order Pax Economica decided to form a new group called “The League”.

They built these floating homes called “Cradles” to keep their own people safe, while leaving behind everyone else. And they kept on fighting on the surface, trying to find plants and resources to keep the Cradles going.

I wanted to share with you how mecha became the dominating theme of the future. It’s interesting to think that even with all our technological advancements, we still can’t seem to escape our own conflicts. It’s as if we’re constantly on the verge of destruction.

6. Doom 3

Do you ever wonder if demons actually exist? Right now, we can’t see them, but who knows what will happen when we finally develop space teleportation technology. We might not be so lucky then.

Doom 3 takes place in the year 2145. It tells the story of a military-industrial conglomerate that constructs a scientific research facility to work on cutting-edge technologies like teleportation, biological research, and advanced weapon design.

10 Video Game Tales of Imminent Doom

So here’s what happened: we were doing these teleportation experiments, right? And they went totally awry and opened up a whole portal to Hell, just like how it’s described in the Bible. And guess what? A bunch of demons came pouring out and started wreaking havoc on Mars.

It’s wild, but these demons can actually attack you in physical form. Talk about terrifying! Now we’re stuck here on Mars, and our only shot at survival is to fight back against these hellish creatures and stop them from invading Earth. It’s up to us to clean up this mess and save the day!

10 Video Game Tales of Imminent Doom

I have to admit, things have gotten pretty scary around here. You see, the people in my base have turned into zombies. Yeah, you heard that right. Mindless, flesh-eating zombies. I can’t even begin to describe the horror of being surrounded by these creatures, knowing that at any second they could attack and tear me apart.

But that’s not even the worst part. Nope. There’s a new discovery, a Martian artifact, and it’s not just any artifact. This thing has the power to summon millions of flesh-craving demons to Mars. And if that’s not bad enough, these demons want to hitch a ride to Earth and destroy everything in their path. So yeah, it’s not just my survival or the fate of Earth that’s at stake – it’s the fate of all humanity.

7. Mass Effect

Let me tell you about an interesting game called Mass Effect. In this game, they imagine a timeline where our Mars rover Curiosity actually finds evidence of advanced technology on Mars. It turns out this technology was built by an extinct race called the Protheans. Can you imagine how mind-blowing that would be? To discover that we’re not alone in the universe and that there’s a whole civilization that existed long before us? It’s pretty fascinating to think about.

10 Video Game Tales of Imminent Doom

Imagine if Martians, a species that once thrived on their own planet, were capable of developing advanced technology. If they can do it, surely humans can too. We have the potential to excel in space travel and colonization.

But as scientists often remind us, space exploration is not limited to just us humans. There is a whole universe out there to discover, and we are not alone.

As we venture further into space, we will come across various forms of extraterrestrial life. Some of them may be friendly and eager to connect with us, while others may be more hostile and prone to conflict. It’s a whole new level of complexity.

It’s intriguing to think about how our conflicts on Earth could pale in comparison to the challenges we may face when encountering alien species. Mars, for example, could become a battleground as we struggle to coexist with Martian inhabitants.

So, the idea of space travel and colonization is not just about advancing our own race. It’s about expanding our understanding of the universe and evolving as a species. The possibilities are endless, and the mysteries waiting to be unraveled are beyond imagination.

Imagine being stuck in the middle of an intergalactic war. In this alternate reality, humans would find themselves facing off against various alien species. You’ve got the Asari, who are essentially blue-skinned human females. Then there are the Salarian, these amphibian-like creatures, the Turians who resemble raptors, and the Krogan, a reptilian species. Oh, and we can’t forget about the Batarians, these four-eyed humanoids. But the biggest threat of all? The Reapers, the ultimate enemy we must defeat.

10 Video Game Tales of Imminent Doom

Hey there! I’ve got something mind-blowing to tell you. Have you ever heard of the Reapers? They are these incredibly advanced machines, sort of like starships, made up of a mix of organic and synthetic materials. Picture them lurking in the empty space between galaxies, just waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

And guess what? That moment has arrived! The Reapers are no longer dormant. They’re back, and this time they’re hell-bent on wiping out the entire human race. Can you believe that? It’s like something straight out of a sci-fi movie!

So here’s the deal. We humans, we’ve got to step up our game. We need to gather all the hope and strength we have left to fight against these unstoppable forces and save ourselves from annihilation. It’s not going to be easy, but we’ve got no other choice. Our very existence is at stake.

8. StarCraft

Let me ask you something. What does biotechnology mean to you? Is it all about fancy things like chip implants and cloning? Or could it be something darker, like the creation of supercriminals in the future? The StarCraft series takes place in the not-too-distant future, about ten years after Earth has been taken over and overrun by humans.

Imagine a world where a powerful alliance, known as the United Powers League, comes into existence. Their mission is to cleanse society by capturing and imprisoning those who have chosen the path of crime and chaos. These individuals include hackers, synthetic tech-pirates, and cybernetically enhanced outlaws. Their actions have had devastating consequences, resulting in the loss of over 400 million lives. It’s a chilling reality that I find hard to comprehend.

10 Video Game Tales of Imminent Doom

Instead of cramming prisons on Earth full of inmates, the government came up with a different plan – they decided to conduct an experiment by sending 40,000 criminals to a distant planet called Gantris VI.

This experiment is what gave rise to the Terran faction. Unfortunately, the mission went terribly wrong, and the ships carrying the criminals ended up crash-landing on the closest planets in the Koprulu Sector.

10 Video Game Tales of Imminent Doom

Little did those criminals know, they were about to embark on a thrilling new journey on distant planets. Unbeknownst to them, they would soon come face to face with a terrifying alien species known as the Zerg. These bug-like creatures were merciless hunters who turned their victims into mindless zombies.

But the Zerg were not the only threat in the galaxy. The Protoss, another powerful race, had their own conflict with the Zerg. In a tragic encounter, they destroyed the planet Chau Sara, unaware that innocent Terran civilians were trapped there, suffering under the Zerg’s control.

10 Video Game Tales of Imminent Doom

But let me tell you, there’s something even scarier out there, threatening not just two alien species, but all of humanity. Can you believe it? An unknown species wants to destroy everyone and take over their worlds. Can you imagine the chaos?

So here’s the thing. This common enemy forced the three races to put aside their differences (at least for a little while) and work together to fight back. Rumor has it that this enemy is the creator of the Protoss and Zerg, and even the powerful Xel’Naga couldn’t stop them.

9. Lost Planet

Now, here’s a story that will make you think. See, Earth can’t be our forever home. We humans, we need to keep expanding, finding new places to live. That’s where Lost Planet comes in. It all starts in the year T.C-80, when our technology has advanced enough for us to travel through space.

Our mission? Find a new planet to call home. So this company called NEVEC decides to build a colony on a planet called E.D.N. III. We have to explore this alien world and see if it’s suitable for us. It’s our last hope, really.

10 Video Game Tales of Imminent Doom

Imagine if there’s another planet out there that we could call home. Well, guess what? It turns out we’re not the only ones interested in it! Other aliens might be eyeing it too. Yeah, mind-blowing, right?

So here’s the deal: when us humans first set foot on this new planet, we quickly found out that it was already inhabited by a bunch of alien creatures called the Akrid. And get this, they’re ruling the place!

Now, here’s where things get really interesting. Both the Akrid and us humans have something in common – we rely on thermal energy, or T-ENG, to survive. And that makes this planet a hot spot for competition. It’s a full-on war for resources, and the planet itself hangs in the balance.

10 Video Game Tales of Imminent Doom

And as I go on my quest, with the help of my trusty mecha called Vital Suit, things aren’t looking too great back at home base. The battle for T-ENG has turned into a battle for ultimate power, leading to a civil war on top of the ongoing war with the Arkids. Only the strongest among us will make it out alive and claim the new planet as our own.

10. Dead Space

Believe it or not, everything you’ve seen in other video games about the world ending is just child’s play compared to Dead Space. This game has taken the concept of an alien invasion and horror to a whole new level, even without any ghosts involved.

10 Video Game Tales of Imminent Doom

In the year 2414, the starship USG Ishimura sends a plea for help to the Concordance Extraction Corporation (CEC) while mining on the planet Aegis VII. When the CEC arrives, they make a horrifying discovery: most of the crew members are dead.

That’s where I come in. My name is Issac Clarke, and I’ve been given the task of repairing the ship and unraveling the mystery behind the murders. It turns out that the Ishimura crew stumbled upon a religious artifact known as the Red Marker, which is sacred to the Unitology religion. They were ordered to bring it back.

10 Video Game Tales of Imminent Doom

The moment the Marker reached the mining ship Ishimura, everything went haywire – crew members started going mad, seeing things that weren’t there, and killing each other. It was chaos.

We later found out that the Marker carried a mysterious alien virus. This virus would infect dead bodies and transform them into something horrifying called “Necromorphs” – undead creatures that could mutate and control corpses. They would rampage through the ship, spreading the virus and leaving destruction in their wake.

10 Video Game Tales of Imminent Doom

Imagine this: a story that’s like Resident Evil, but set in space. The people living there get infected by an alien virus, turning them into flesh-eating zombies. They have one goal – to hunt, devour, and tear apart human bodies, one limb at a time.

What does this make you think?

Don’t worry, it’s just a game. The developers created these storylines to make the gameplay more exciting and immersive. But there’s a lesson to be learned from games like these – our actions have consequences, and they affect not only our future but also the next generation’s.

The world isn’t going to end on its own anytime soon. However, if we keep polluting the environment at the rate we’re going, who knows? Our extinction might come sooner than expected. It’s important to be aware of the impact we have on our planet and take steps to protect it.

When we play a game, the decisions we make can lead to different outcomes. The same is true in our real lives. Where will you stand when it comes to safeguarding and cherishing all living beings?

Now, let’s shift gears and talk about something fun! Share your favorite game story in the comments so that everyone can join in on the enjoyment. And if you have any thoughts or predictions about the future of humanity, we’d love to hear them!
