Today, I’m going to show you how to create a prototype for your very own product. First things first, let’s get started with the basics.

Gather Your Materials

Before we begin, you’ll need a few things to get started. Make sure you have:

  • Paper
  • Scissors
  • Tape or glue

Once you have all your materials ready, we can move on to the next step.

Visualize Your Idea

Now, close your eyes and imagine your product. What does it look like? Think about its shape, size, and any special features it might have. Picture it in your mind.

Make Sure Your Technical Design Fits Just Right

Safety is a big deal, especially when it comes to toys for kids. We have to really think about it at this point. And not only that, we have to test our design to make sure it can handle all the playing and using. It’s important that everything works the way it’s supposed to.

If we mess up even a little bit, it could be a huge problem. It could cost us a ton of money. Just a worthless mold alone could set us back thousands, or even tens of thousands of dollars.

Keep Checking the Specifications as You Go

As we go through the different steps, it’s really important to keep checking our prototype and making changes where necessary. We need to keep going back to the product specifications as we work on everything, both the creative stuff and the technical stuff.
