Watch These 7 TED Talks to Inspire Your Entrepreneurial Journey

I can’t even begin to describe how amazing TED talks are. The idea of spending a few minutes exploring stories that are personal and important, stories that bring us together and help us become the best versions of ourselves, is truly extraordinary. I’ve gathered a collection of my favorite TED talks that share ideas that every entrepreneur should think about.

TED Talks for Entrepreneurs

1. Steven Johnson: Where Good Ideas Come From

Author Steven Johnson challenges the common belief that coming up with solutions to problems is solely based on a brilliant moment of inspiration. Instead, Johnson argues that it’s the result of hard work, preparation, and being connected to people who have different skills and abilities.

2. Reshma Saujani: Teach Girls Bravery, Not Perfection

This one’s not just for women, you know. It’s all about the power of inclusiveness for our future success. Saujani makes a strong case for embracing risks and stepping out of our comfort zones to shape the future of computer science. And guess what? This applies to all of us, men and women alike! It’s time to let go of our fear of failure and reach for the stars.

3. Tim Urban: Inside the Mind of a Master Procrastinator

Get ready for a real treat! Tim Urban is not only a master of long-form writing in a world full of quick lists, but he’s also seriously hilarious. He challenges us to take a closer look at our procrastination habits and invites us to prioritize our lives better. So, let’s tackle that to-do list and start making things happen!

4. Dalia Mogahed: What Do You Think When You Look at Me?

As the world becomes more connected, it’s important to think about how we treat people who are different from us. It could be someone with a different skin color, culture, religion, or political beliefs. Mogahed, an expert on Islam, explains why empathy is so important.

5. Bill Gross: The Key to Startup Success

We all know that most new businesses fail. But Bill Gross has studied the data and found out what makes some startups succeed. And it turns out there’s one surprising factor that makes a big difference.

6. Malcolm Gladwell: The Untold Story of David and Goliath

There are few writers out there who can turn things upside down and challenge everything we think we know quite like Malcolm Gladwell. He takes a familiar story from the Bible about an underdog who overcomes impossible odds and uses it to make us rethink power and how it affects our relationships.

7. How to Spot a Liar by Pamela Meyer

Pamela Meyer’s exploration of the many lies we hear every day is not just interesting, it’s downright fascinating. And she goes beyond that to make a strong argument for why we should strive to be more honest as a society. For those of you who care about ethics and being truthful, you’ll not only enjoy her pep talk but also pick up some great tips for detecting deception.

We all have stories. They are like powerful rituals that bring us together, inspire us, and remind us that life is about more than just money. TED talks are like windows that open our minds and show us new possibilities. As entrepreneurs, we should embrace these talks and learn from them.

And guess what? I have a special TEDx talk just for you:
