In some cities, like the ones in our rankings, they have a lot of resources and support specifically designed for entrepreneurs. In other cities, the history and culture really encourages people to take risks and start their own businesses. And then there are cities where you can find a whole community of business owners who are just like you and can offer you networking opportunities and guidance as a mentor.

Our rankings are based on our own analysis of information from the U.S. Census. We looked at different things like how many serial entrepreneurs there are compared to the overall population in different metropolitan areas of the United States with at least 50,000 people. We also considered things like industry clusters, the lifestyle in the city, the infrastructure, the costs, and how available the workforce is.

The Best Cities for Serial Entrepreneurs

1. Salt Lake City

In Utah’s largest city, Salt Lake City, there is a significant number of entrepreneurs who consistently start new businesses. These serial entrepreneurs account for 0.23% of the population, and there are 2,689 of them.
