Step 2: On the top right corner of your Facebook page, you’ll see a small down arrow. Click on it, and a drop-down menu will appear.

Step 3: From the drop-down menu, select Settings Privacy and then Settings. You’re almost there!

Step 4: Look for Notifications on the left-hand side of the screen and click on it. A new page will open with various notification settings.

Step 5: Now, it’s time to take control. Scroll down until you find the section called Email. Make sure to click on Edit next to it.

Step 6: Here’s where the magic happens. Uncheck all the boxes next to the email notifications you no longer wish to receive. You can customize it to your liking and decide which ones are important to you.

Step 7: Don’t forget the final step! Remember to save your changes by clicking on the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page. It’s essential to make your preferences stick.

Great job! Now you can breathe a sigh of relief as your Facebook email notifications disappear into thin air.

But wait, we’re not done yet. Let’s tackle those Twitter notifications too. Twitter loves to keep you in the loop with all the activity on your account. If you’re ready to break free from those constant email pings, follow these steps:

Take Charge of Your Email Inbox: Say Goodbye to Email Notifications from Facebook and Twitter

Social media is awesome! It helps us connect with people and share our interests and businesses on an easy-to-use platform. That’s why it’s become so popular, and why I keep getting notifications in my email from Facebook and Twitter.

But here’s the thing: how do I stop those Facebook notifications? Or those Twitter emails? It’s a question that’s especially important now, with the new European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) coming into effect on May 25, 2018.

Don’t get me wrong, social networking is amazing. It’s opened up our lives to the whole world in ways we never imagined before the Internet. But it’s also brought along a bunch of annoyances and distractions that can pile up and stress us out.

My Email Inbox

I’m tired of getting so many emails in my inbox, especially about every little comment or activity on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. It’s just too much. And now with more social networks like Pinterest and YouTube, it’s even worse. I don’t need constant updates from all these sites.

So, here’s how I deal with the email craziness:

  • I use social media inboxes instead. They notify me of social media interactions in a user-friendly and non-intrusive way. I found two tools that help me stay productive with this.
  • I block certain types of social media updates from my main inbox. I only want to see direct messages or private messages that are important. All the other types of social media updates can wait. If I don’t filter them out, I’ll never have time for my work.

But you know what? It took me forever to figure out that I could actually put an end to this nagging. And you won’t believe how simple it is. All you need to do is tweak your settings a bit, and voila! Freedom awaits you. Or if you’re feeling extra lazy, you can grab one of those fancy programs that do all the work for you.

How to Tame the Settings

Let me tell you a little secret – every single social media site out there has a special area in their settings just for you. It might be hiding in your account settings, but don’t worry, it’s there. And once you find it, you can finally dictate what you want to be notified about.

Say Goodbye to Facebook Notifications

So let’s talk about Facebook, shall we? Say goodbye to those pesky notifications by following these simple steps. First, look for the little gear icon in the top right corner of any Facebook page. Click on it and then select Account Settings from the options that magically appear on the left side of the page. Now, pay close attention. See that tab that says Notifications? Go ahead and give it a click. Next, look for the tab that says Email. Click on it and prepare to be amazed. You can choose to receive all notifications, except for those you opt out of. Or you can select only the important ones that concern you and your activities. Finally, if you want to get notifications about account issues, security, or privacy, there’s an option for that too. Easy peasy!

How to Stop Twitter Emails

I want to help you stop those pesky Twitter emails. Don’t worry, it’s not that hard. Let me show you what to do. First, go to your Twitter account and click on the gear button at the top. Then, select Settings and go to Email Notifications. Here, you have the power to decide when you get these emails and who they apply to on your list. You can even choose to get a weekly or daily email digest instead. Pretty cool, right?

Using Gmail Filter

  • Search: [from:noreply* OR from:do-not-reply* OR from:donotreply* OR from:notification*] This is a handy trick to filter out those automated updates.

Now, let’s make sure those filtered emails don’t clutter your inbox. You can set up a filter in Gmail to send these emails to a separate folder. That way, they won’t bother you unless you choose to check that folder. To stay on top of things, you can even create a calendar reminder to check the folder once a day or a couple of times a week, depending on how busy you are. Simple, right?
