I’m Todd, and I’ve got some exciting news to share with you. Balodana is a special place where you can find all sorts of fabulous clothes made by talented designers. We’ve got over 1000 unique women’s garments for you to choose from, and we’re always adding more every month. No matter your style or the occasion, we’ve got you covered with everything from fancy dresses to everyday wear and even beautiful lingerie.

How It All Began

Let me tell you a little story. You see, I used to be really frustrated whenever I went shopping for women’s clothes. The sizes were all over the place, both in stores and online. Nothing seemed to fit right, the quality was lacking, and worst of all, I never felt confident in what I was wearing. But then, I discovered something amazing – custom made-to-measure garments on sites like Etsy. I was beyond excited! The only problem was that the whole buying experience wasn’t quite perfect.

I really disliked not having a simple way to keep track of my body measurements for different designers. It was frustrating and made it difficult for me to access my measurements when I needed them. I also wanted a consistent and reliable customer support experience. So, I decided to look into the idea of creating a solution for this problem. To my surprise, I discovered that there was a huge market for custom tailored clothing, with about $2 billion being spent on it. However, most of this market was focused on menswear. There wasn’t much attention given to the women’s bespoke market on a large scale. This realization motivated me to start working on a digital platform that not only enhanced the customer experience but also supported small businesses all over the world that offer this service.

My Greatest Achievement

I have achieved something truly remarkable – forming meaningful connections with others.

When I made my first sale, I couldn’t contain my excitement. But the real triumph came when I received a big order from a bridal party. What made it even more special was that this was also our first repeat customer. However, the most incredible achievement for me so far has been securing commitments from exclusive designers. These designers have chosen us as their sole representatives in the US. Many of these partnerships were formed through personal referrals from countries like Romania and Canada. Others reached out to us after learning about our mission to revolutionize the market for tailored clothes.

A Bold Move

My biggest risk has been developing our company’s marketing technology.

Finally, I found a partner that gave me the best of both worlds. We decided to invest in a hybrid SaaS (software as a service) that let us customize what we needed while still meeting our tight schedule for launching. If you’ve worked on digital products before, you know that making a wrong choice with technology early on can be a huge waste of time and money. You might even have to start all over again if you want to change directions.

What I Learned

Every shopping experience is different.

Luckily, I figured out soon after we started that things weren’t quite going as planned. But, we were able to tweak our online shopping system and adjust our marketing strategy to make it work. Still, we did end up wasting some valuable time and money because our initial assumptions were proven wrong.

How I Would Spend an Extra $100,000

If I had an extra $100,000, I would create a unique and exciting pop-up experience.

I know how important it is for our target customers to touch and feel our products. So, I would set up a temporary store where people can come in, relax, and explore. They can look at samples and, if they want, get measured with either a body scanner or traditional measuring methods. We would have personal stylists available to help them find options that suit their style and body type.

A Fun Joke We Have

One thing that always makes us laugh is how no one can pronounce our brand name correctly! It has become an ongoing joke for us. So, I thought it would be hilarious to make a video where everyone tries to say it. We have heard so many different attempts, with more than a dozen possible combinations! (Just to clarify, it rhymes with bandanna.)
