Facebook Unveils Exciting New Right-Hand Column Advertisements

By Ronald Smith

I just had to share some exciting news with you all. Facebook has recently introduced a fresh and innovative feature that I think you’ll find fascinating. You know that space on the right-hand side of your Facebook feed? Well, now it’s filled with captivating advertisements!

I’m sure you’ve noticed that space before. It used to be plain and empty, just waiting for something interesting to come along. But now, brace yourself, because it’s becoming a hub for eye-catching ads that will catch your attention as you scroll through your news feed.

It’s really cool how these new ads fit right into the layout of your Facebook page. They’re seamlessly integrated into the overall design, so they won’t feel intrusive or interrupt your browsing experience.

Personally, I think this is a great move by Facebook. It provides businesses and advertisers with an opportunity to showcase their products and services to a vast audience, while also giving us a chance to discover new and exciting things.

You might be wondering how these ads will work. Well, let me explain. When you see an ad in your right-hand column, it means that it has been specifically targeted to you based on your interests and online activities. So, you’re more likely to see ads that are relevant to you and pique your curiosity.

This tailored approach means that you’ll be seeing ads for things you’re genuinely interested in, making your browsing experience more enjoyable and engaging. It’s like having a personalized shopping experience right on your Facebook page.

Now, I know some of you might have concerns about privacy. But rest assured, Facebook has taken steps to protect your personal information and ensure that only relevant ads are shown to you. You have control over the types of ads you see, and you can adjust your preferences in your account settings.

So, there you have it, folks! Facebook’s new right-hand column ads are a game-changer. They bring a fresh, exciting element to our Facebook feeds and give businesses a way to reach their target audience in a more meaningful and personalized way. Get ready to discover amazing products and services while scrolling through your news feed. Happy browsing!

Once again, Facebook has made another change. They want to get more people involved and make advertising easier on their website. And they’ve decided to focus on the new ads on the right-hand side of the page.

They actually announced this change back in April, but they only just recently started using the new ad design. The new design makes the ads look the same no matter where you see them – on the computer, in your News Feed, or on the right-hand side of the page.

It’s a more interesting and creative way for advertisers to show their stuff. Since there are fewer ads on the right-hand side, it’s going to be more competitive for advertisers to get their ad shown on this popular website.

Guess what’s ‘IN’ the new ad format?

The cool thing is that the ads on the right-hand column will automatically appear in a big, eye-catching format. Meanwhile, the less important or eligible ads will stick to the original smaller format.

This means you’ll actually see fewer ads on Facebook. It turns out that Facebook’s plan to make all new ads created on or after August 1 follow a strict 20 percent text policy has been put on hold. Instead, they’re focusing on updating the smaller format ads first. The same cool ad proportions will also be used for the ads in your desktop News Feed. The cherry on top? This new and improved design will flow seamlessly in your News Feed, visually pleasing and consistent.

  • Facebook will transform a 600×315 size ad into a 254×133 size
  • The ad title should have a maximum of 25 characters, including spaces
  • The ad body should have 90 characters, including spaces

I have some important guidelines for you when it comes to uploading images. First, make sure the file size doesn’t exceed 1MB. It’s also crucial that only 20 percent of the image contains text.

Now, let me tell you something interesting. For advertisers, there have been some changes. You won’t see unlimited small ads from different brands in the sidebar anymore. Advertisers are now limited to uploading only one or two image assets. These images will appear either in the desktop News Feed or in the right-hand column.

The sidebar ads will be much bigger, almost as big as the content in the News Feed. They will focus on only one or two ad units. Don’t worry though, the tools and functionality for creating ads haven’t changed. This redesign only affects what users see.

Will advertisers benefit from the change?

  • I can now create different ads specifically for the News Feed and the sidebar.
  • I won’t have to worry about my ads appearing poorly cropped in the sidebar.
  • I can try to design images and write text that will make my ad look good in different placements with different sizes.

Now, images will appear larger in the desktop News Feed, and they will have the same shape in all placements, including the right-hand column. But, keep in mind that this change only applies to desktop because mobile devices don’t have a right-hand column.

It’s important to know that the cost per thousand impressions and the cost per click may increase a bit with this change. This is because there will be less available space for ads and more competition.

Will Facebook users be affected by the change?

I wanted to share some exciting news I just learned about Facebook’s latest tests. They conducted some experiments and found that when they use bigger and more detailed pictures in their ads, it makes a big difference in how well the ads perform. And you know what? It turns out that the viewers who see these new ads are three times more likely to engage with them! How incredible is that?

But that’s not all. Facebook has also made some changes to the layout of their ads. Now, they have ads on the right-hand side of the page, and they think these new ads might be even more interesting and engaging for viewers. And you know what happens when people find ads interesting? Yep, better results!

So, what’s the point of all this? Well, Facebook is trying to make their ads more valuable to advertisers, and it seems like they’re on the right track. I can’t wait to see how marketers will make use of these new advertising formats. It’s going to be really interesting!
