By Ronald Smith

Are you looking to create a sales video that really grabs people’s attention? Well, you’ve come to the right place! I’ve got some awesome tips that will help your video stand out from the crowd.

1. Start with a bang! Don’t be shy – jump right into your video with a catchy and captivating introduction. Grab the viewer’s attention right from the start and keep them hooked.

2. Show, don’t tell. Instead of boring your audience with lengthy explanations, show them how your product or service can solve their problems. Use visuals, demonstrations, and examples to create a powerful impact.

3. Keep it short and sweet. Remember, people have short attention spans, especially on the internet. So, keep your video concise and to the point. Get your message across quickly and effectively.

4. Be genuine. People can spot fakeness from a mile away. Be authentic and sincere in your video. Show your passion for what you’re offering and let your personality shine through.

5. Use storytelling. Everybody loves a good story! Weave a compelling narrative into your video to capture the viewer’s emotions and create a connection. Make them feel like they’re part of the story.

6. Include testimonials. Nothing builds trust quite like hearing from satisfied customers. Include testimonials in your video to add credibility and show the value of your product or service.

7. Add some humor. Laughter is contagious, so why not add a touch of humor to your video? It can help lighten the mood and make your message more memorable.

8. Optimize for mobile. Nowadays, most people watch videos on their smartphones. So, make sure your video is optimized for mobile devices, with clear visuals and easy-to-read text.

9. Call to action. Don’t forget to include a compelling call to action at the end of your video. Encourage viewers to take the next step, whether it’s making a purchase, subscribing to your newsletter, or contacting you.

10. Edit, edit, edit. Last but not least, take the time to edit your video carefully. Remove any unnecessary or repetitive information, polish the visuals and audio, and make sure everything flows smoothly.

So, there you have it – 10 tips to make your sales video stand out. Remember, be creative, be authentic, and most importantly, have fun! Good luck with your video, and may it bring you great success!

10 Ways to Make Your Sales Video Stand Out

We’ve all seen dull sales videos. What’s special are creative and captivating ones. But how can you achieve that while conveying important information? To find out, I asked 10 members of the Young Entrepreneur Council (YEC) the following question:

How can we make a sales video stand out?

This is what the YEC community members had to say:

1. Don’t Just Sell

Instead, share all your knowledge with the customer. Give away everything. Honestly, most people are too lazy to do the work themselves. They’re coming to you for a reason, and if you teach them everything, they’ll see you as the ultimate source of information. – John Rampton, Adogy

2. Get Playful

Dollar Shave Club hit the jackpot with their clever and unconventional videos, bringing in millions of viewers. These videos were not only meant for promotion, but they also brought laughter, joy, and sharing. If you can do the same while staying true to your brand, then go ahead and create a video that will have the whole world buzzing.

3. Building Trust and Using Your Brand’s Voice

To truly engage your audience, you need to be authentic. This means having a brand voice that is relatable and consistent throughout your company. When you achieve this, people will feel a connection to your brand and want to be a part of it. ~ John Tabis, The Bouqs Company

4. Spark Interest by Asking Questions

Did you know that if you start off a video with a question, it instantly grabs the viewer’s attention? Pretty neat, huh? It’s like making the video all about them and their interests. Instead of just listing all the awesome things our company can do, it’s important to show the viewer that we have their best interests in mind. And when it comes to wrapping up our videos, it’s crucial to include a clear link or call to action. ~ Michael Quinn, Yellow Bridge Interactive

5. Keep it Real (and Personal!)

Real time personalization is key. We work with a company called Switch Merge to add personal touches with seamless integration into Marketo. It’s really cool and people love it. They even guarantee a 60 percent conversion rate! ~ Justin Gray, LeadMD

6. Don’t Forget About Silent Viewers

I used the video at a booth where there was no sound. We also put it online with a voice-over, so we were still able to get our message across to our audience, even when they couldn’t hear what we were saying. – Mike Seiman, CPXi

7. Give Teaching a Try Instead of Selling

Customers tend to react negatively to sales videos that push products they don’t really need. Instead of creating another product video, try teaching instead. Show them a need and demonstrate how your product can solve it. For example, instead of trying to sell a resistance band for exercise, make a video that features 10 great workouts using resistance bands and then use that video to sell the bands. – Pablo Villalba, 8fit

8. Involve Your Customers

I can’t stress enough how important it is for your past customers to share their experiences. Hearing from them directly speaks volumes about the value you provide. So why not reach out to 2-3 of your past customers and ask them to shoot quick testimonial videos? These videos can then be cut into your larger marketing video, creating a powerful and authentic message. – John Rood, Next Step Test Preparation

9. Keep it Short and Sweet

When creating your videos, remember to keep them focused on one product or service at a time. Explain concisely how your offering solves a customer’s needs. If your business sells multiple products or services, consider shooting additional videos for each one. – Andrew Schrage, Money Crashers Personal Finance

10. Help Everyone, Not Just Buyers
