10 Cool and Exciting Ways to Let Your Customers Know About Your Awesome New Product or Service

By Ronald Smith

So, guess what? My company is always looking for ways to make our products and services even better. We want to give you, our amazing customers, even more value. But here’s the thing – we don’t want to just send you a bunch of boring emails that you might ignore. We want to find a fun and creative way to tell you about the awesome new features we’ve added. And that’s why we turned to 10 entrepreneurs from the Young Entrepreneur Council (YEC) for some advice. We asked them:

How can you let your customers know that you’re launching something awesome and new, without just bombarding them with emails?

Exciting Ideas for Introducing a Fabulous New Product or Service

Here’s what the smart members of the YEC community had to say:

1. Share Your Insights

I’ve discovered that the most effective way to spread the word about a new product is to create content that revolves around addressing the problem that your product solves. This approach allows you to use your knowledge and expertise to talk about the subject without sounding like you’re trying to sell something. Remember to write a blog post about the topic and your product, so you can include relevant links in your content and provide your audience with additional resources. ~ John Hall, Influence Co.

2. Show It Off in Your Email Signature

So, here’s the thing – we had this problem, you know? We wanted to expand our content to a podcast and YouTube, but we didn’t want to annoy our email list by bombarding them with messages. That’s when we had this brilliant idea. We started adding short promotional text to all the email signatures of our members. And the best part? We can change it up whenever we want! Since our team sends out loads of emails every day, it’s a super effective way to reach our most engaged clients. It’s pretty awesome, if you ask me. ~ Mark Daoust, Quiet Light Brokerage, Inc.

3. Make Use of In-App Messaging If You Can

Alright, buckle up! When we launched our Share With Friends program, we made sure to let everyone know about it using our in-app messaging. It’s like a little pop-up that shows up when you’re using our app. You can also set up a landing page on your website or send site notifications to let your customers in on all the cool new features and services that are coming their way. It’s a great way to keep them in the loop! ~ Brian David Crane, Caller Smart Inc.

4. Try Doing a Live Stream

You know what’s a great idea? Doing a live stream video to demonstrate how that new feature works and all the amazing ways you can use it. And guess what? I’ve got some awesome people lined up to talk about how they plan on using it. So get ready for an epic showcase! ~ Drew Hendricks, Buttercup

5. Take Over Social Media

Listen up, folks! The key to launching your new product or service is to have a strong following on social media. When your peeps can share what you’re offering with their own followers, you’ve hit marketing gold! Forget about spending tons of money on ads and emails. The most powerful way to spread the word is through good old-fashioned word of mouth. When one person can reach their entire social media crowd, you’ll see your message spread like wildfire, and the best part? It won’t cost you a fortune! ~ Marc Lobliner, TigerFitness.com and MTS Nutrition

6. Encourage Engagement

7. Reach Your Customers Again with Ads

If you already have your customers’ email address and they have visited your site before, you can use this to your advantage. Make some eye-catching banner ads for Adwords and Facebook. These ads will allow you to connect with your customers again and bring them back to a specific page on your website. It’s a quick and affordable way to get your message across effectively. – Ajay Paghdal, OutreachMama

8. Keep Up with Customer Reviews

Regularly checking in with your customers is really helpful for many reasons. It’s a great way to gather feedback, both positive and negative. It also gives you the chance to share any updates about your products with your customer base. I even suggest demonstrating new features in real-time, so your customers can immediately make the most of your solution and get the highest return on their investment in the long run. – Stan Garber, Scout RFP

9. Make Your Website More User-Friendly

I’ve got a cool idea for you. How about creating a sticky header or a slide-in pop up? It’s a nifty way to politely remind your customers about your new feature launch. Every time they visit your website, they’ll be reminded of the exciting new addition. And here’s the best part – you can ask them for their cell number if they want to receive a text message on the day the feature is released! Sounds great, doesn’t it? – Syed Balkhi, OptinMonster

10. Get Creative with a Pop-Up Shop

Here’s a fun suggestion for you! Why not create a pop-up shop or take your product to the people in unique ways? You could set up a kiosk or a booth at a festival and bring your brand straight to the streets where your target audience hangs out. It’s all about getting out there and interacting with the people you want to try your product. Exciting, right? – Zach Binder, Bell + Ivy
