It’s a cool program that helps out companies in STEM fields, which stands for science, technology, engineering, and math. Now, in order to qualify for this grant, companies need to meet a few requirements. First, they have to be in business for less than seven years. Second, they can’t have more than ten employees. And finally, they have to be mostly located in Delaware. Oh, and they also have to contribute a quarter of the total project cost themselves. So it’s a bit of teamwork involved.

Super Exciting News for Cambridge Small Businesses!

Guess what? I’ve got some awesome news for you about what’s happening in Cambridge, Massachusetts. So, listen up! They’ve got this cool new program to help out local businesses called the Small Business COVID-19 Grant Assistance. They’re offering grants to businesses with a physical store for up to $15,000, and home-based businesses can get up to $7,500. How amazing is that?

Now, let me break it down for you. If you’re a business owner, you can use this grant money for lots of different things. You could cover stuff like rent relief, payroll, equipment, or even just your regular operating costs. It’s such a great way to give local businesses a boost and help them out during these tricky times. And get this – the money for these grants comes from the American Rescue Plan Act, which is pretty cool.

Here’s a little more info for you. The program is all about supporting those locally-owned, non-franchise businesses that were hit hard by the pandemic. They’re really focusing on businesses with less than 50 employees and who haven’t already received other COVID-19-related grants from the city. So, they’re really trying to help out those who really need it the most.

The best part is that you can apply for this awesome program right now! You just need to hop online and find the application. But don’t wait too long because the deadline to apply is February 16th. So, get on it and give your business a chance to get that boost it deserves!

Eastern Arizona College Small Business Development Center DreamBuilder Grant

I’m thrilled to tell you that the Freeport-McMoRan Foundation just gave a big grant of $20,000 to the Eastern Arizona College Small Business Development Center. This grant will help make their DreamBuilder program even stronger, so they can support businesses in Graham and Greenlee counties.

The DreamBuilder program is super cool – it’s a ten-week course that teaches all the important skills and knowledge that entrepreneurs need to start and keep their businesses going strong. And this grant doesn’t directly give money to the entrepreneurs in the program, but it will help the center keep doing their great work and make it even better.

In other news, I want to tell you about another awesome program called the Santa Rosa Small Business Support Program.

In Santa Rosa, California, we are offering over $500,000 in grants to small businesses that are improving the appearance of their storefronts. These grants are funded by the American Rescue Plan Act and are part of our Small Business Support Program. We specifically want to help businesses located in the commercial areas of Roseland along Santa Rosa Avenue, Petaluma Hill Road, and other downtown streets.

We have just finished the first round of funding, where we gave out up to $40,000 to eligible businesses. Our original plan was to have a second phase of funding, but unfortunately, all the funds were used up during the first round.

Introducing ‘Lift the 404’ by UPS

The Atlanta Hawks and UPS have recently launched a brand-new grant program to support businesses in the Atlanta area. This program, called ‘Lift the 404′ Delivered by UPS, will provide funds specifically to local, minority-owned businesses throughout the Hawks’ games this season.

So far, we have awarded one recipient, Simplicity Beverage Company, in partnership with the Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs. They were chosen as the first honoree, and we will be recognizing four more local companies throughout the rest of the season. Each of the honorees will receive a $5,000 grant, two tickets to a Hawks game, and a framed Nike NBA Fly City Edition Hawks jersey.
