Get Ready for the Boots to Business Reboot Program!

Did you know that soldiers can become amazing entrepreneurs? Yep, even after their time serving or when they’re still in the military. To make their transition to civilian life smoother, we’ve got these awesome classes called Boots to Business Reboot (B2BR). These classes teach veterans all the skills they need to start their own business.

Boots to Business (B2B) is a super cool program that offers education and training for aspiring entrepreneurs. It’s actually a part of the Department of Defense’s Transition Assistance Program (TAP), which is run by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). The main goal of B2B is to help service members, including those in the National Guard and Reserve, and their spouses, get a good grasp of what it takes to own and run a business before entering civilian life.

Did you know that almost all businesses owned by veterans are considered small? That means they need all the help they can get to make sure their businesses thrive in the long run. That’s where the B2B Reboot comes in—it’s a program designed to give veterans like you a solid foundation in entrepreneurship.

So, what exactly does the B2B Reboot offer? Well, it’s a one or two-day in-person course that covers all the basics of running a business. It’s kind of like a crash course that teaches you everything you need to know. But that’s not all—it also introduces you to ways of determining if your business ideas are actually feasible. Pretty cool, huh?

The Lessons

When you sign up for the B2B Reboot, you’ll get access to a curriculum specifically tailored to help veterans like you. Whether you’re curious about starting your own business or exploring other self-employment opportunities, this program is perfect for you.

In this curriculum, I’ll take you through the important steps of evaluating business ideas and give you the basic knowledge needed to create a business plan. I’ll show you how to find startup funding, get technical support, find contracts, and much more.

The curriculum is split into two parts: Introduction to Entrepreneurship and Follow-on Support.

Introduction to Entrepreneurship

The Introduction to Entrepreneurship course is the foundation of this program. It starts with essential lessons for new entrepreneurs like you.

These lessons will teach you the skills, knowledge, and resources you need to start your own business. You’ll learn how to develop business ideas, create a business plan, and find assistance from the Small Business Administration (SBA).

When you come to our two-day program, you’ll meet some really smart people who are experts in their field. They’re from the SBA and they know all about running a business. We also have a big network of business advisors who can help you out. They’ll teach you all the important stuff you need to know, and they’ll make sure it makes sense in the real world.

After the program

Once you finish the Introduction to Entrepreneurship course, you have the option to keep learning with the B2B Revenue Readiness online course. It’s a great way to build on what you’ve already learned.

This course is offered in partnership with Mississippi State University (MSU). And guess what? It’s completely free for service members, veterans, and military spouses. How awesome is that?

I’ve got the schedule for the classes right here for you.
