Let’s Talk About Amazon Business 2023 Small Business Grants
Guess what? Amazon Business just kicked off its second annual Small Business Month! They’re also giving out more of their awesome 2023 Small Business Grants. This time around, they’ve set aside over $250,000 in total grant funds. To have a shot at winning, you need to be a small business owner in the U.S. and an Amazon Business customer who makes $1 million or less in annual revenue. Trust me, it’s worth it! The lucky winners will receive not only grant funds, but also Business Prime memberships, cool Amazon devices, and other fantastic prizes. Don’t miss out – you have until May 21 to submit your online application.
Check out the eBay Up Running Program!
I’ve got some exciting news to share with you. eBay just unveiled their 2023 Up Running program, which is a yearly grant initiative aimed at helping small businesses on eBay thrive. It’s an awesome opportunity for sellers like you!
So here’s the deal: if you’re an eligible eBay user, you can apply for a grant of up to $10,000. This funding can be used for a variety of things, like purchasing new equipment, getting more inventory, running marketing campaigns, or even hiring new team members. How cool is that?
But wait, it gets even better. This year, eBay is going the extra mile by including an additional $500 stipend. And guess what? You can use this bonus money to buy office technology and tools from eBay Refurbished. It’s like a win-win situation for you!
The Up Running grant program is now in its fourth year, and it’s being managed by Hello Alice. They’re doing an amazing job, and I can’t wait to see the incredible businesses that will benefit from this program. Just a heads up, the deadline to apply is June 9th, so make sure to mark your calendar!
Calling all Houston entrepreneurs!
I’ve got some exciting news for you. The Houston Fund for Social Justice and Economic Equity is back with more funding opportunities for minority-owned businesses and nonprofits in Houston. They’re offering grants through the Open for Business program, and this is the second round of funding available. The best part? There’s a whopping $8 million up for grabs!
If you’re an eligible business, you can apply for up to $100,000 in funding. That’s a pretty decent amount, don’t you think? So mark your calendars because the application period is from May 15 to May 31. That gives you a few weeks to gather all your ducks in a row and submit your application.
Now, let’s shift gears a bit and talk about the South St. Petersburg CRA Grants.
I’ve got some exciting news to share with you. St. Petersburg, Florida has just launched a brand-new microfund grant program to help out small businesses in the South St. Petersburg Community Redevelopment Area. How cool is that?
This program is all about supporting businesses in communities that have been historically affected by poverty. The best part? You don’t have to meet strict requirements like other CRA funding programs. It’s open to all qualifying brick and mortar or child care businesses. If that’s you, you can apply for up to $10,000! If you run a home-based business or work in a shared commercial space, don’t worry. You can still apply for up to $5,000. And get this, even early stage startups can apply for up to $2,500. Talk about a wonderful opportunity!
Now, let me give you the details. This program will be split into four different application rounds. The first round is happening from May 9 to May 31. So, mark your calendars and get ready to take advantage of this amazing chance to give your business a boost!
But wait, there’s more!
I have some awesome news to share with you. Diverse Erie is doing something amazing to help minority-run small businesses in Erie County, Pennsylvania. They’ve come up with this fantastic program called the Small Business Mini Grant program. It’s specifically designed to support businesses that are owned by Black, Indigenous, or people of color (POC).
If you’re eligible and lucky enough, you could apply for a grant ranging from $5,000 to $25,000! That’s a lot of money that could really make a difference for your business. But there are a few things you need to keep in mind. First of all, your business must be located in Erie County, and it has to be within a U.S. Housing and Urban Development qualified census tract. I know that might sound a little confusing, but it basically means that your business needs to be in a specific area to qualify for the grant.
The application period starts on May 15, which is just around the corner! So, mark that date on your calendar, because you definitely don’t want to miss out on this opportunity. The application period will be open until June 2, so make sure to get your application in before then.
